Organizing .NET Zuid meetup
Over the past years I’ve been a regular attendee at the DOTNET Zuid meetup, a community-driven event for .NET developers in the south of the Netherlands. In January 2026, I was asked to give a talk at their meetup, and I really enjoyed it.

From attendee to organizer
Organizing +/- 10 meetups a year is a lot of work, all done by three volunteers for the .NET Zuid foundation. They were looking for more help, and eventually asked if I wanted to join the team. I was happy to say yes, and I have been helping out setting up stuff during the meetups.
At the last meetup I was asked to introduce the venue and the speaker, so I took that opportunity as well.

From now on, I will mostly be helping out with developing new features for the website and managing the LinkedIn .NET Zuid account.
Stichting .NET Zuid
This meetup is organized by a non-profit foundation called Stichting .NET Zuid, which is run by four volunteers. Be sure to follow along on LinkedIn and the website for upcoming events. I invite you to join us at the next meetup! And if you ever want to speak at our meetup because you have an interesting topic to share, please reach out to me as well.
And if you have a company that would like to contribute to .NET Zuid, we are always looking for sponsors that help keeping the event free for attendees. That can be in the form of financial contributions or by hosting one of the meetups at your office.
