Unlocking Workcation at Microsoft Security Meetup
Today June 16th I had the pleasure to do an introduction to access packages at the Dutch Microsoft Security Meetup. I really like this security meetup. They start with dinner, then two talks and a closing pubquiz.

Dutch Microsoft Security Meetup: Access packages UI

As promised to the audience, here are the slides.
Introduction to access packages
I’m not going to repeat the previous post, so check that out for more details.
Great interactions
This meetup with about 40/45 attendees, felt really awesome. So many good questions, thanks attendees! The one question I did not really know the answer to was:
What does the API permissions do in access packages?
I have to get back to this….
There was also a question about how does the location blocking work? Yes, it is really just based on IP. So if you would use a VPN this could easily be faked. I would not say that setting up location blocking is a very secure measure (easily circumvented), but for your regular office staff at least you have some sort of audit trail that they are expected to be somewhere else in the world.
